Verified Lawyer Marketplace & Escrow Platform
Pakistan's legal market ran on word-of-mouth and informal WhatsApp introductions — no trusted way for people to find Bar Council–verified advocates, compare transparent fees, or pay securely for online or in-office consultations.
We built a production legal marketplace where clients search verified advocates by city, court tier, and practice area — then book and pay through escrow that releases only after consultation. Lawyers complete a multi-step verification flow; admins review Bar Council documents; and the platform stays compliant with neutral listings and separate platform fees.
The Challenge
Legal discovery was opaque — unverified listings, hidden fees, and direct payments with no dispute path. Bar Council rules forbid paid 'best lawyer' rankings, and taking a cut of professional fees would violate fee-splitting regulations.
Our Solution
A Next.js platform with factual neutral listings, transparent platform fees, PayPro escrow checkout, slot reservation, dispute timelines, RBAC admin console with verification queue, document storage, Socket.IO booking chat, Zoom for video consults, and a versioned REST API powering an Expo mobile companion app.
